🌻Yoga in the Sunflowers is back this year!

I’m so excited to share one of my favorite summer happenings—Yoga in the Sunflowers, taking place Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Pine Knoll Farm in Independence, LA.

I’ve participated once and volunteered once, and both experiences were an absolute treat. The land is beautiful, the sunflowers feel like they’re smiling at you, and there’s something deeply soothing about moving and breathing under the big blue sky.

The class is led by Brenna Barzenick of Downtown Yoga in Hammond. She’s a wonderful teacher, a physical therapist, and a Land Trust board member. Her gentle vinyasa flow is accessible to all levels and feels like exactly what your body and mind need in the middle of a busy summer.

This event is hosted by the Land Trust for Louisiana, and all proceeds go toward supporting land conservation—so you’re not only doing something good for yourself, but also for the earth beneath your feet.
